ULI Health Leaders Network
Report Summary:

Health and social equity outcomes are inextricably linked to the decisions made and actions taken by the real estate industry. Recognizing the responsibility for real estate to positively contribute to healthier, more sustainable, and equitable communities, ULI Building Healthy Places launched the ULI Health Leaders Network (HLN) in 2017 with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, longtime ULI member and Foundation governor Randall Lewis, and the Colorado Health Foundation.

The HLN has since fostered five cohorts of over 190 individuals dedicated to harnessing their power and leadership to center health and social equity as core to their work and in their communities. 2022 marks the five-year anniversary of the ULI Health Leaders Network, and in celebration, this document provides a snapshot of the first five years of the program and illuminates the program’s impact in cultivating a diverse group of compassionate and thoughtful leaders committed to advancing health and social equity in all aspects of land use and real estate decision-making.
